Rainbow Human » 06 Purposeful

I know what I want: I live with purpose and discipline.
We can progress rapidly when we know what we want and live a simple, purpose-driven life organized around our goals. Aware of the opportunity cost of doing something good versus better, we cut waste by doing only what is necessary. We use our spare time on strategic pursuits rather than mindless entertainment and human drama.

Some people focus on sowing while some focus on weeding,
Some people choose to embrace while some choose to avoid,
Some people cultivate patience while some upgrade productivity,
Some people hold on to everything while some discard everything.

There is a purpose for everyone and a season for every life on Earth.
Even the nasty people and dangerous situations can be great teachers for us.
We stop imitating others and create a new path for our purpose and season.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

A watch is meant to tell time, but how it is actually used determines its real purpose.
Is it a conversation starter to get a romantic date?
Is it a shiny object to draw rescurers’ attention and save a shipwrecked sailor?
Is it a valuable pawned for cash to buy food for a desperate family?

As the master of tools, a human being can do far more than any tool.
If we forget our power to create and use tools, we become a tool for others.
We are the ones to show how to make the impossible possible.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

What do we place at the centre of our life? What do we value most?
Achievement and success for the sake of others’ expectations and demands?
Following every rule strictly so we will never be blamed?
Wanting the present situation to remain the same because of potential risk?

Are we living for ourselves, others, or a higher purpose?
Acting out of true purpose is an expression of perfection in itself; results do not matter.
We choose to go beyond persistence and giving up, logical reasoning and compassion.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

Just as up and down have no meaning in outer space,
Advantage and disadvantage only exist relative to each other.
Likewise for qualities such as abilities, intelligence and beauty.
Seen objectively, we are different but equal.

Living is not about ourselves or others, but about our relationship with the world.
Every decision is an opportunity for us to use our relationships to show who we truly are.
We ask not what others can do for us; we ask what we can do for others.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

Everything is connected to everything else in the great web of Life.
This interconnecting, interdependent interaction can never be separated.
When we live with this in mind, we make breakthroughs uniting ideas and people.
When all Humanity lives with this in mind, poverty and war will finally be over.

However, we can only change a small part of everything at a time.
What is important vs. what is urgent? What flows along with the world?
We use our time carefully to get us where we are aiming to go.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

We are obliged to satisfy our survival and basic needs.
We are obliged to fulfill our responsibilities towards others.
We are obliged to care ourselves with both compassion and discipline.
We are obliged to make good use of our situation and abilities.

We are obliged to make the world a better place.
We are obliged to come to understand the nature of this world.
We are obliged to become the master and not the servant of our obligations.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

People will tell us what to do, but that is what they will do; only we can choose our own path.
People who live in action fear inactivity; they will detest us not acting now on their advice.
People who live in darkness fear light; they will detest us sharing our hopes and dreams.
People who live in righteousness fear decadence; they will detest us for failing their standards.

True maturity is not giving up on dreams, but finding workable ways to fulfil part of them.
When there is a will, there is surely a way, but it can be very different from what we expected.
We commit to change; we choose to clear old thoughts to let new possibilities into our lives.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

The greatest success is not to produce more than others.
Not to become more powerful, wealthier or famous.
Not to achieve something no one else has attained.
Not to rush from task to task chasing after more happiness.

Our relationship with the world is not that of an individual person, but of the Infinite Eternal.
Likewise, satisfaction is not that of an individual person but that of All Existence.
We accept that we always get what we need, not what we think we need.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

When we stretch beyond our limitations for a greater purpose, we grow into greatness.
When we only care about personal survival, we shrink into selfishness.
Without a shared purpose, people become disunited and quarrelsome.
Without a shared vision, people become distracted and restless.

Just as nature changes with the seasons, people change with their life stages.
If we can only see the past, we will miss the future potential of each of us.
We have nothing to do except to live the greatest version of who we can be.
Because we are Small but Mighty!

I am flexible: I direct my efforts strategically, economically, and sustainably.
Our plans will change due to our learning and the evolving situation; our goals and strategies need not remain the same. We take carefully planned breaks from our work, studies, and initiatives to avoid burning out. While we may take a detour due to unexpected circumstances, we are confident of finding our way back again to complete the intent behind our original goal.
